about

Stuporstar is the last Slow Band album.
We were doing pretty good as a band. Sometime after this release I cancelled a tour through Europe. I was tired of driving hour after hour in a van. It was everything I dreamed of, but I could not do it anymore. We did not tour as the Slow Band again.
There were a few one-off concerts and a mini tour with European musicians, but this album basically marked the end of my touring career.

5.0 out of 5 stars.

"Sweet indie rock Massachusetts's style. Horns, fuzzy leads, chill vocals, and super songwriting. All the Slow Band stuff rules. "Reject Me...First" was my entry point, Mangled was more intense, but all are worth your precious eartime". SM

The Steve Westfield & Slow Band...is an unsung masterpiece of classic overly-literate mid 90's inspired Pavement / Silver Jews detached-yet-warm ennui.
