about

The first solo album. Rejected by Glitterhouse as too unprofessional, which is true.
Portrait of a guy falling apart. Death, Divorce, and death.
A messy journey of Western Massachusett's lo-fi/ folk/country/indie rock of the early 1990's. Easthampton. Northampton. Boston.
Some of this barely made it to tape. Yes, 1/4 inch, 8 track recording tape. Lot's of friends wandering into the recording space and adding their piece to the collage over a few months. LATE nights. Actually, early mornings.

Daxe Rexford, Jim- Joe Greedy, Angry Johnny, Lou and Joey Santiago, Kurt Fedora, Kevin Newman (GSMO), the Dirk Futon, Josh Churchill, Lou Barlow, Chris Colbourn, Steve Mathewson, Dan Vitale, Kevin French...many folks making minimal noises. It all morphed into the Euro Tour machine Critics Darling Non-essential- Slow Band. Later.

But at this time it was a messy collage of glue and shredded spirits. Crummy Little Town? Ouch. Memory Lapse Blues? Hmmm. Insignificant Other? Oh my. Free and Lonely? OK , I give up... The sound of no hands clapping. There are reviews of this LP, but they all say it's a hard record for most folks to deal with. Downer. It could have been called Downer.

The remedy is music. Local, friends, catharsis music. It helps.
